카레스 앤 브랜즈(Karres en Brands)가 설계한 공원 및 광장이 알미르역 인근의 신규 상업지구에 완공되어 문을 열었다. 이 상업지구에는 투자업체 유로커머스(Eurocommerce)가 개발한 세 동의 사무용 건물이 자리 잡고 있는데, 그 높이가 120미터로 플레볼란트(Flevoland) 지방에서는 가장 높은 빌딩의 지위를 차지하고 있다. 공원은 이들 사무용 건물에 부속된 지하주차장 위에, 광장은 빌딩과 역 사이를 연결하는 공간에 위치하고 있다. 이 지역은 네덜란드에서 가장 젊은 도시인 알미르를 위해 렘 콜하스(Rem Koolhass)가 마련한 마스터플랜 ‘인스턴트 스카이라인(Instant Skyline)’의 한 축이기도 하다. 카레스 앤 브랜즈는 이처럼 완벽하게 인공적인 주변 환경을 바탕으로 ‘인스턴트 아이덴티티(Instant Identity)’를 구축하고 있다. 

A park and a square designed by Karres en Brands have been completed in the new business district near Almere train station. The new district includes
three ofce towers developed by the investor Eurocommerce, which are the highest in Flevoland at a height of 120 meters. The park is situated above the underground car parking for the office towers, while the square mediates
the area between the towers and the train station. This area is part of a masterplan by  Rem Koolhaas for Almere, an “Instant Skyline” denes the edge of the youngest city in the Netherlands. Karres and Brands adds an “Instant Identity” in this completely articial context.
