환경과조경

홍성 사운고택은 충청남도 홍성군 장곡면 산성리 309번지 일원에 위치한 13,860㎡의 민가주택으로, 17세기 후반 조태벽(趙泰碧, 1645~1719)이 조영한 이래 조중세, 조응식 등에 의해 중건 및 정원 조영이 이루어졌다. 가옥의 전체 구성은 중부지방 가옥의 평면구성에 남도풍이 가미된 것으로 안채, 사랑채, 대문채, 안사랑채 등이 자연과 인공이 화합하는 순응의 미학을 공간적, 지형적으로 연계시키고 있다. 1984년 12월 24일 중요민속자료 제198호로 지정·관리되고 있다.
Hongseong Saun old house which is located in 309, Sanseong-ri, Janggok-myeon, Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do has an area of 13,860m². There has been reconstruction and gardening by Cho, Jung Se, Cho, Eung Sik and etc since the construction in the latter half of the 17th century by Cho, TaeByeok(1645~1719). It has the ground plan type of the central part of Korea adding the type of the southern part. The aesthetic of adaption is connected spatially, topographically and functionally on Anchae, Sarangchae, Daemunchae and Ansarangchae. It was appointed as Important Folk Material no.198 in 24th of December, 1984.
