Jeju Mokgwana

제주 목관아는 제주특별자치도 제주시 삼도2동 43-3번지에 위치하며, 면적 19,533㎡의 조선시대 지방 통치기관이다. 세종 16년(1434) 화재로 인해 건물이 불탄 것을, 안무사 최해산(1380~1443)에 의해 종루, 홍화각 등 건축군 조영을 시작으로, 조선시대 내내 신축·개보수하였다. 관아의 전체구성은 홍화각, 우련당, 귤림당, 관덕정 등을 주축으로 평평한 대지에 인간과 자연이 공존하는 순응의 미학을 공간적으로 연계시키고 있다. 1993년 3월 31일 사적 제380호로 지정되었다.

Jeju Mokgwana(Old Government Office of Jeju) which is located in 43-3, Samdo2-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju-do is 19,533㎡ area. It was burned in the King Sejong’ 16th period(1434) and then was reconstructed the buildings and the gardens by Choi, Hae San(1380~1443). The aesthetics of adaptation is connected spatially, topographically and functionally on the flat ground with Honghwagak, Uryeondang, Gyullimdang and Gwandeokjeong. It was appointed as Historical Site no.380 in 31st, March, 1993.
