Oeammaeul Song Hwa House

외암마을 송화댁은 충청남도 아산시 송악면 외암리 196번지 일원에 위치하며, 면적은 3,036㎡의 민가주택으로 조선 고종 15년 이홍열(李鴻烈, 1857~1896) 및 그의 아들 이용근(李用瑾, 1903~1975)에 의해 건축 및 정원조영이 이루어졌다. 가옥의 전체 구성은 문간채·사랑채·안채를 주축으로 하여 넓은 대지에 낮은 둔덕 및 계류 등이 자연과 인공이 화합하는 순응의 미학을 공간적, 지형적으로 연계시키고 있다. 

The Song Hwa House is located in 196, Oeamm-ri, Songak-myeon, Asan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. It had been built in Ko-Jong’s period1878 in Joseon dynasty. It is in important position to analogize technique of the Imchun garden used in the arrangement of the house and rational arrangement of the house reflected factors of the Pung-su(divination by configuration of the ground). The factors are name of the town, topography and arrangement of the Sarangchae(the men’s part of a house) and Anchae(the main building of a house). The area of the house is 3,036㎡ and it is basically made up of Hangrangchae(servant’s quarters), Sarangchae(the men’s part of a house), Anchae(the main building of a house). It is connecting with condition of the selecting of the building area by environment and aesthetic.
