Museong Seowon
무성서원은 전라북도 정읍시 칠보면 무성리 500에 위치하며, 면적은 5,507㎡으로 고려시대에 고운 최치원의 학문과 덕행을 기리기 위해 창건한 태산사에 기원을 두고 있으며, 이후 조선조 숙종 22년(1696)에 신잠의 사당과 병합하여 “무성武城”이란 이름으로 사액된 이후 신개, 정극인, 안세림,�정언충, 김약묵, 김관 등의 위폐가 봉안되는 등 필암서원, 표충서원과 함께 호남을 대표하는 서원으로 자리 잡았다. 현재 경내에는 태산사, 현가루, 명륜당, 강수재, 전사청 등이 자연과 인공이 화합하는 순응의 미학을 공간적, 지형적으로 연계시키고 있다. 1968년 12월 19일에 사적 제166호로 지정되었다.
Museong Seowon which is located in 500, Museong-ri, Chilbo-myeon, Jeongeupsi, Jeollabuk-do is 5,507㎡ area. It origins from Taesansa that was constructed to praise Choi Chi-Won, and it was merged with the shrine of Shin Jam in the 22th year of King Sukjong’ reign(1696) and was named “useong” Shin Gae, Jeong Guk-In, An Se-Rim, Jeong Eon-Jung, Kim Yak-Muk, Kim Gwan is enshrined in Museong Seowon, and it represents Jeolla province with Piram Seowon and Pyochung Seowon. The aesthetics of adaption is connected spatially, topographically, and functionally with Hyeongaru, Myeongnyundang, Gangsujae and Gojiksa. It was appointed as national historical relics no.166 in 19th of December, 1968.
