Woodall Rodgers Park
우달 로저스 프리웨이 상부에 건설될 5.2에이커 규모의 이 공원은 텍사스주 댈러스시의 중심업무지구(C.B.D)와 시외지역 그리고 급성장하고 있는 예술지구를 연결하는 중요한 보행연결축이 될 것이다. 기존의 올리브 스트리트(Olive Street) 다리에 의해 양분되었던 공원은 Pond Cypress(미국 남동부 원산의 낙우송의 일종. 학명은 Taxodium ascendens)가 우거진 길게 뻗은 보행자 산책로에 의해—하나의 공원으로—조직화 되었다. 공원의 남서부 코너에서 시작되는 산책로를 따라 거닐다보면 식물원, 수경시설이 설치된 어린이 정원, 독서실, 이벤트 잔디마당을 지나가게 된다. 올리브 스트리트와 인접한 대규모 공공 광장은 거리와 분수에 이르기까지 레스토랑 테라스, 퍼포먼스 파빌리온, 테이크 아웃 파빌리온 등과 이어진다.

Built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, this 5.2 acre park will serve as an important pedestrian connection between the Central Business District, Uptown and the burgeoning Arts District in downtown Dallas, Texas. Bisected by the existing Olive Street bridge, the park is organized by a sweeping pedestrian promenade that features a continuous canopy of specimen Pond Cypress. The promenade begins at the southwestern corner of the park, drawing visitors of downtown through the park past a botanical garden, a children’s garden with an interactive water feature, a reading room, and an event lawn. A large public plaza adjacent to Olive Street connects the restaurant terrace, the performance pavilion, the casual take-out pavilion to the street and features an interactive fountain feature.
The pedestrian promenade continues to the east across Olive Street and features a number of passive plaza and garden spaces. The pedestrian promenade continues beyond the plaza and connects to a series of intimate garden courtyards, a dog park with an interactive fountain feature and a signature interactive water feature that anchors the park along Pearl Street. Groves of Oak trees flank the site, providing a strong architectural rhythm along the street and serving as a buffer from the activity of the adjacent frontage roads.
